About us

Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) is a printer, licensed by the Ministry of Chronology based at Dammberg in The Ostrand. The company was founded on 8 April 1835 by Cordula Wendl.

Established in the early years of the country, Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) continue to supply licensed almanacs, account books and forms of every description from Dammberg. The house has passed through 5 hands and changed its name once; its manner of doing business has not changed at all.

Our founder. Cordula Wendl, farm labourer, was born at Vellmar on 6 October 1807 and died on 28 March 1858.

Our history

Dates are as entered in the register of companies at the Ministry of Finance.

1. 1835 The company is founded at Dammberg.
2. 1855 Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) lists on the Vellmar Exchange as NET. In the press.
3. 1918 Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) is wound up. 371 jobs are lost at Dammberg. In the press.
4. 1918 The company ceases trading.

What we do

Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) operates in the printing trade, serving Dammberg and the surrounding country. Particulars of current lines are available on application to the registered office.

The house supplies licensed almanacs, account books and forms of every description. Samples may be seen at Dammberg; terms cash, or approved bills.

Wendl Almanacs (Licensed) is quoted on the Vellmar Exchange as NET since 1855. Last year-end close: 155 marka (31 December 1917). The Exchange publishes year-end closes only.

The Exchange publishes year-end closes only. Shareholders may inspect the books at the registered office on application in writing.
